KALEIDOSCOPE
EARLY INTERVENTION

The Cerebral Palsy League recognizes that the first few years of life is an exciting and challenging time in a baby's life. For parents of a child with a developmental delay, this time may be particularly stressful - but there is help. .

The Cerebral Palsy League’s Kaleidoscope Early Intervention Team works diligently to address the very special challenges of parents who have discovered that their child has a special need that may affect his/her development. The Team supports, encourages, and teaches parents and family members the strategies and skills they need to address these as early in life as possible.

The Kaleidoscope Early Intervention staff are child development specialists who also have expertise in a specialized field such as special education, nursing, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy.

Each service is individualized to meet the needs of the child as well as the family. Family participation in the Kaleidoscope Early Intervention Program helps a family better understand how they can enhance their child’s development and provide the best foundation for future success.

Family Link Regional Early Intervention Collaborative administers the early intervention system in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. Referrals for early intervention services are made through this office. Kaleidoscope staff work cooperatively with the collaborative to ensure all families receive the services they need.
